Pine Creek is a neighborhood in Colorado Springs with a combination of condominiums and single-family homes. In 1978, Briargate was just a mere vision for developers John Venezia and Lew Christensen, who collaborated with the Urban Land Institute to design a functional local plan with unique aesthetics. It is one of the fastest-growing regions in northeast Colorado Springs, comprising over 9,600 acres of viable residential properties. Briargate and Pine Creek came to fruition under the leadership of master developer La Plata Communities in 1995. Pine Creek was the first community to implement guidelines requiring new developers to adhere to distinct architectural styles and design guidelines, including Spanish Eclectic, European Cottage, Craftsman, and Prairie.
